Woke up this morning feeling fine,
There is something special on my mind,
Etc,etc,etc

This morning there was a veil of mist around the area. It was a little bit cold, but it made a nice change from the scorching hot weather that seems to be following me up the country. After getting into South Molton late last night, I did not have time to have a look around the village. Sorry, that should be town as I was corrected last night. But it looked a nice quiet little place. The farm is about a mile away from the town.
I left the farm about 9am and headed towards Exmore. With the mist rolling on to the quiet lanes I was cycling along it was a little bit eerie as I made it through Exmoor before the mist lifted, which was a shame as I would have liked to have seen more of the moors, rather than a view of a couple of hundred yards!
From here it was on to the Brendon Hills and through to a place called Wiveliscombe.
I stopped to have a look from the top of the hills with the village at the bottom and the Quantock Hills looming in the distance. I could see smoke coming from a group of trees. As I cycled into the valley I soon discovered a steam train runs the length of the Quantocks. Camera ready I waited to take a picture, the train sounded as if it was getting closer, but after ten minutes of waiting I decided to carry on up the Quantocks.
After some tough cycling up the side of the hills I reached the top and the views where fantastic.
I stopped to look and a lady walking her dog started to pass the time of day with me. She was saying how great the view was over the Quantos hills!!. I didn't have the heart to correct her, and I did my best not to laugh.
I then cycled from here to Bridgwater for dinner before heading off to cheddar.
The ten miles there where the flattest I've cycled on which was nice.

Till tomorrow

Steve
