| Woke up this morning to the
sound of a flock of seagulls (not the band with the strange haircuts) felt pretty well
after the first day. Padstow is a lovely little harbour town with lots of things going on
around the harbour. I took the camel trial to
Wadebridge. This is a special trail for bikes and walkers only, which follows the camel
estuary. It is a lovely ride that covers the five miles to Wadebridge then if you fell
more energetic you could carry on to Bodmin. I choose to turn of after Wadebridge. Then
followed the quiet route to Camelford. From here the
roads roll gently up and down taking me to Bude. From here I cut
across land to Great Torrington, taking in some of the steepest hills know to man. 25%
gradient hills all going up. It just seemed like there was not enough gears on the bike to
make it. But make it, I did. On getting to Great Torrington there is a green with Tudor
house and a church over looking the valley I had just cycled up. Then it was an
uppey downy road to South Molton. The farmhouse is
situated through the town and sits on the top off a hill. It used to be a working farm but
isnt now. See you tomorrow Steve (still on a
    bike)   |
